Privacy is a BIG issue. We hear from many of our members that they are concerned about the privacy of their profile information, and would like to have a set of tools to allow them, should they wish to, have better control of communication inside and outside Connected. Here are a few interesting tools to allow that flexibility.

At any point of your Connected membership, you can always change the Privacy Settings of your profile. You can get to the Privacy Settings Page from either top left Navigation (the one next to ‘Sign Out) or from your Connected Profile Page, top right left of the page. There is a number of controls in place to allow members to manage their privacy on the site. Members can:

Manage the settings of your profile so that you can decide what elements of your profile are visible to which members of Connected. For example, you can choose if your contact details are visible to all network members, OR 1st and 2nd degree network connections OR 1st degree connections only.

Manage who can contact you, and define who can Connect with you: only people that know your email or the entire network.

Control your favorites section, and define which of your chosen picks of blogs, forums and groups is shared with the rest of the community.

If you are a lawyer and have not joined Connected, you can register through
martindale.com/connected. If you are not a lawyer – stay tuned!
