Some of you may have noticed a change at martindale.com recently. Specifically, that we’ve added LinkedIn connections within the attorney and law firm profiles.

In fact, some of you are talking about it online at several popular legal blogs such as The Legal Water Cooler and Legal Blog Watch.

Indeed, we are very excited to be working with LinkedIn, so I wanted to confirm the news and say that we will be communicating more details about the agreement and what it means for martindale.com users within the next few days.

We recognize that online professional networking for the legal industry is growing, and we even recently commissioned a new survey to objectively measure attorney opinion about networking and their desires for a lawyer-specific network.

That survey – along the LinkedIn agreement and other new offerings we’re working on – are part of our overall effort to respond to our clients needs to update and change Martindale-Hubbell to better meet your needs.

Andrew – Currently no as we don’t have a field to store that extra link. It’s a good suggestion though and we’ll add it to a list of future enhancements to the site.

Does Martindale allow a subscriber to post a link to a linkedin profile on the subscriber’s Martindale listing?

There is no automated way to integrate your martindale.com profile onto your LinkedIn profile page – this was not part of our agreement. However, you can link to your martindale.com profile manually by adding the URL of the listing under the Websites section of your LinkedIn profile.

How can I integrate my Martindale listing to my linkedin listing? Anybody has the URL for instructions? Is it a linkedin widget?

Sharing data with LinkedIn – Excellent move and also very nicely integrated. I like to stay more on your website than other legal websites now a days. -KM
