Law Digests on Update

About a month ago I wrote about our plans to put all of our Law Digests onto so if you register on our site you would be able to search for any digest you need.

I’m happy to report that we now have all 150 of our Law Digests loaded onto  To find a Law Digest in a particular jurisdiction, just go to Search Legal Topics and enter “Law Digest” followed by the name of the jurisdiction you are looking to find into the keyword search field.  For example, you might enter “Law Digest Spain” or “Law Digest Louisiana”.  You can click on View the full text of this article to get to the PDF file, which allows you to, among other things, do a full text search within the digest.

Thanks for all of the feedback that led us to quickly add this enhancement.  Those most interested were primarily law firm librarians and corporate counsel, but as we continue to look at how to improve this functionality, we continue to be hungry for all feedback, both positive and negative.

This is another example of how we’re trying to listen, learn, and then take action to incrementally improve and continually provide more value.

This is a wonderful feature. Thank you very much for adding this to the website. We use these digests fairly often, typically to obtain an overview of ancillary probate in another jurisdiction. Thank you again.

Thanks for the questions and suggestions Ann. You have good ideas for us to look into, but for now registration is necessary to gain access to the law digests online even for those under contract with Martindale. But registration is free and easy. I also like your suggestion that we add Librarian to our positions so you don’t have to default to “Other”. –Barry

1. My firm has a contract for Martindale. Can we get access to the law digests without having to register. Is IP Authentication possible? Doubt it but thought worth a shot. We do not find the CDROM option helpful and glad this is up. 2. Funny how you say that law firm librarians and corporate counsel most interested but you do not offer an option on the registration for librarians (or administrators or support staff) to indicate their position … just attorney status.
